What it takes to be a worker-owner

An outward focus | Be a problem solver and answer broad questions, such as: What is our unique product/service offering? What is the competitive environment? Who and how well are we serving?

Strong business fundamentals | If there is a month in the red, you have multiple ideas on how to address the issue(s) that is consistent with the co-op values.

Facilitation skills | A surprising number of boards and senior management teams get steered by informal dynamics, much to the harm of the co-op. You should be able to adopt and follow systems to eliminate redundancy, improve business velocity, and facilitate team health.

Creativity | Problem solve from new perspectives or unfamiliar areas.

Drive | Be committed to the success of the co-op and willing to overcome challenges
